Jaci Taffolla was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. She attended Flagstaff High School to later move onto Coconino Community College, where she is now taking an EMT course. Her hopes are that she would like to move to Washington or Colorado with an EMT certification, and eventually move out of the country to come back and start her own homeless veterans shelter. Between that time she strives to get her Wilderness First Responder training. After that, Jaci then plans to go back to school once she returns, to get her occupational therapy so she can also work as a hippotherapist and also a nutritionist.
Jaci vividly remembers driving home one day, and seeing firefighters respond to a man in need in a back parking lot. This was when she had taken an interest in EMT and Paramedic, and she thought that it was time to make a difference in somebody's life.
Her inspirations in life are Brendan McDonough, the lone survivor of the Granite Mountain Hotshots. McDonough had a difficult life; he overcame drug addiction and eventually stumbled on the crew which turned his life around and made a name for himself, and now he’s helping others like his past self.
When Jaci’s not working, you can find her at the gym, backpacking the Grand Canyon, or hiking the San Francisco Peaks or any of the numerous trails in Northern Arizona. Exploring Arizona and being outdoors with her friends and family is what makes her happiest.
Jaci has always grown up with animals. She now has two dogs, two cats, and snails, and has had a frog and plans to get a teacup pig and a horse in the future.
